My Update
I am currently on my third week of my internship. Time has gone so fast!
I'm really enjoying being in Coimbra. It's so much peaceful than Lisboa - no airplanes, less cars, more space to ride my bike...
On Saturday I raced in Aveiro on the 2nd Stage of the Individual National Championship.
It was my 2nd Olympic Distance triathlon and gosh! it is so much difficult than Long distance triathlons. It is the combination of endurance and speed, it's like running 400 meters on the track. Sometime ago, Pedro Gomes (www.pedro-gomes.com) one of the best triathletes in Portugal said to me that "to race an Olympic Distance Triathlon you have to be talented, I'm not talented but I pay that with work".
Bike continues to be my weakness: I have to get more strength and more muscle mass.
For now I will continue to do my working paper, to finish my internship and I will only race on the 31st of July in Marvão.

Training
Yesterday I did a good ride in a place near Coimbra - Cova do Ouro. It was hot, the course had some long climbs (10%) and with some pavé.
Today I went to the Coimbra Stadium track. It is amazing to be inside the stadium where the Academica football team plays.

Coimbra
I'm sitting in my amazing sundeck in my apartment. From here I can see the olympic swimming pool, the mountains, the universities!
I've arrived in Coimbra last saturday after the Zezere Triathlon. I really liked to take part of that race - the water was at 26ºC!
On Sunday, I got to know the city (with 40ºC) and all I can say is that it is so peaceful on weekends and it has so many students and movement during weeks but it has no comparison to the Lisbon stress.
Regarding my internship, CSE has a library, a bar, lots of meetings rooms and offices. I'm working in one of those offices with 4 other researchers.
Today I went to the Olympic Swimming pool. It is one of the most modern swimming pool in Portugal!
