A difficult problem: Laziness in Portugal
How can portuguese sit hours and hours in front of the tv doing and producing nothing?
How can they watch daily morning and afternoon tv shows in the 3 main channels?
A study, carried out by scientists at the University of Navarra in Spain and reported by BBC News, shows that Portugal is officially the laziest nation in the European Union.
Research into who leads the most sedentary lifestyles suggests that nearly 88% of Portuguese inhabitants get hardly any exercise and spend lots of time sitting down.
Lack of exercise has become recognised as a major risk factor for obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
Exercise is the activity that most promotes community spirit and that's what i think is missing in Portugal.
