A difficult problem: Laziness in Portugal

How can portuguese sit hours and hours in front of the tv doing and producing nothing?
How can they watch daily morning and afternoon tv shows in the 3 main channels?

A study, carried out by scientists at the University of Navarra in Spain and reported by BBC News, shows that Portugal is officially the laziest nation in the European Union.
Research into who leads the most sedentary lifestyles suggests that nearly 88% of Portuguese inhabitants get hardly any exercise and spend lots of time sitting down.

Lack of exercise has become recognised as a major risk factor for obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

Exercise is the activity that most promotes community spirit and that's what i think is missing in Portugal.

Typical

Police new tool

Like Policemen in Lisbon or in other European countries, chinese policemen are also using segways (the electric machine that only uses two tyres to move, a good invention but still very expensive) now for other situations:

Now imagine a lazy policeman running after a pick pocket, i think he would probably be uncertain whether protect the segway or catch the thief.

Patience...

Coldest Marathon on Earth

Earth Day

Today we celebrate the Earth Day!

I'm really worried about the future of the planet.
Let's change human acts, thoughts and behaviours.

Let's start today, we can change the planet together!

I wish but i can't

I begin my blog by saying that i've got a calf injury. This happened in my last triathlon in quarteira, Algarve, in transition from bike to run.
First the fireman thought i was a football player so apllied some special spray and I happily finished the course. Second, lack of magnesium.

Now I'm in recovery phase. I have lots of energy but i simply can't force the muscle.

Hope this will be fine as soon as possible.
